Iberian-American Conference on Higher Education in Computer Science
CIESC-CLEI´2010 it is the continuation of a series of academic encounters held since 1991 in Santiago de Chile and along CLEI it takes place in a different Ibero-American country each year since then, renewing the objective of gathering academics and professionals engaged on computing and informatics of pre and post grades higher education areas. The Congress will include several activities standing out the paper presentation technical sessions, forums, and discussion panels, tutorial courses and keynote speeches of distinguished personalities in the area of Higher Education in Computing.
The papers (articles and papers) can refer to, among others, the following educational topics in computing and informatics:
- Initiatives related to higher education in informatics (results of the application of pedagogical approaches, tools, environments and methods, new topics, experiences or specialties.)
- Problems with higher education and proposals to achieve a solution (motivation, desertion, competition with the industry).
- Informatics and computing career accreditation process.
- Course structure design in response to the required competences by the industry.
- Encouragement and formation to take on entrepreneurial initiatives.
- Promotion of pre and post grade studies, to a middle level.
- Tools and support enviroment of teaching and learning.
- New teaching methods.
- Distance Education.
- Teaching ethics and social aspects.
Papers format
The papers, written in Spanish, portugues or English languages, must be sent in PDF format following the same instructions as the ones of the Latin-American Informatics Congress. The papers will be evaluated by a Program Committee coordinated by
